What this site collects

MenuScout is a server-rendered directory site. The site itself does not require an account, does not collect personally identifying information from visitors, and does not store any user-submitted content beyond messages voluntarily sent via the contact form. We do not run a first-party analytics or tracking script on the site.

Server logs

The web server records standard access logs: request path, response code, response size, timestamp, IP address, and user agent. These logs are used for operational debugging (identifying broken links, monitoring crawl behavior, investigating abuse) and are not used to build behavioral profiles of individual visitors. Access logs are retained for a short rolling window and then discarded.

Cookies

The MenuScout site itself does not set any first-party cookies. If third-party advertising or analytics is enabled in the future, that service may set its own cookies for the purpose of ad serving, frequency capping, or attribution; in that case this page will be updated to describe the third-party cookies in use.

Third-party advertising

Page templates contain reserved slots for display advertising. When ads are enabled, they may be served by Google AdSense or a similar third-party network. Those networks may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google's ads settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising from many other networks via youradchoices.com.

External links

The site links out to OpenStreetMap and to restaurant websites where those URLs are present in the underlying data. Once you click an external link, you are subject to the privacy policy of the destination site.

Contact form

Messages submitted via the contact page are delivered to the editorial inbox and used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add contact-form senders to a marketing list and we do not share inbound messages with third parties.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how the site handles visitor data, we will update this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
