Data licensing

The underlying restaurant facts on this site (name, address, cuisine, opening hours) are sourced from the OpenStreetMap project and are © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). You are free to redistribute that underlying data under the same license, provided you attribute OpenStreetMap contributors directly. Editorial content on MenuScout (multi-paragraph restaurant summaries, city overviews, cuisine essays, and the visual design of the site) is not open-licensed and remains the property of MenuScout. Do not scrape or republish editorial content without permission.

Acceptable use

You may browse and link to any page on the site freely. You may not attempt to overload the server with automated requests, scrape editorial content at scale, or use the site to assemble a derivative database without separate written permission. If you need bulk data access for a legitimate project, get in touch via the contact page first.

Accuracy and disclaimer

MenuScout makes a good-faith effort to keep restaurant data accurate, but the underlying mapping data is contributed by volunteers and can lag real-world changes. We do not guarantee that any specific restaurant is currently open, that posted hours are correct on a given day, that contact information is up to date, or that the cuisine label perfectly matches the menu. Always confirm critical details directly with the restaurant before relying on them, especially around holidays, weather closures, and recent openings or closures.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MenuScout disclaims all warranties, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

MenuScout is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including loss of time, money, or reputation arising from reliance on listed restaurant information. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.

The site links to third-party websites (OpenStreetMap, individual restaurant sites, etc.). We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
